There were a quite a few loyal and new PTO parents in attendance.  Thank you for your participation!  The meeting was held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Mrs. A. Henslee called the meeting to order at 5:22 pm.  A motion was made, seconded and approved to fill the vacated treasurer's postion.  Nominations were made and the election resulted in the placement of Mrs. J. Burton as the new treasurer. Volunteers were accepted and approved by the PTO members present to fill the following Committee Chair Posts:

 

  • Membership Committee Chair:  Ms. F. Jackson

  • Box-Tops Committee Chair:  Ms. M. Gremillion

  • Communications Committee Chair:  Mrs. D. Lee

  • Grants Committee Chair:  Mrs. T. Guillory

  • 5th Grad Fundraiser Committee Chair:  Mrs. D. Bell

There was another discussion about fundraising ideas.  Our Eagles will host another fundraiser on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Chuck-E-Cheese on 11324 Boardwalk Drive.  Please remember to bring your entire family out for a night of fun!  Audubon PTO will receive 15% of receipts presented in Audubon PTO's name.  Each little bit helps the PTO and our school with providing resources to our teachers and students as well as funding for special events like Audubon's annual Family Literacy Night.

The next regularly scheduled PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 5:00 pm.  Be sure to mark your calendars and invite other families/parents out to this event!  Our president would like to receive feedback on the drafted by-laws.  A copy can be obtained by emailing Audubon PTO or by contacting Ms. Butler.  Feedback can be provided via this website on the Contact Us! page, email to aububonelementarypto@gmail.com, or by calling 225.590.4014.  We would love to sponsor more family events and keep our parents actively involved.  To keep up to date with everything PTO, including upcoming meetings, PTO projects, fundraisers and things we think are cool, just head to the PTO Facebook page!
